UNITED Fiber System (Unifiber) yesterday announced that it has taken on exclusive sale and purchase deals to pave the way for its planned acquisition of Indonesian pulp mill Kiani Kertas.

　　Unifiber has taken on a share purchase deal, a debt instrument sale as well as other agreements that were inked between the vendors of Kiani Kertas and Kingsclere Finance last December.

　　Upon completion of the acquisition, Unifiber will pay US$220 million (S$361 million) to the vendors of Kiani Kertas using a combination of cash, bonds and promissory notes.
