NH Ceramics has warned that the group expects a further loss in second half FY2001 ended June because of a decrease in turnover for the period. The loss, however, is not expected to be worse than that incurred in the first half. In the first half, turnover decreased by 14.8 per cent, resulting in an interim loss of $0.45 million. Turnover in the second half fell further by 21.4 per cent, resulting in an overall decrease in turnover of 18.3 per cent for the whole year. The drop in second half turnover arose from the deteriorating financial health of contractors and a fall in demand from home renovations, the group said.
