Inter-Roller directors add to stakes

SIX directors of Inter-Roller Engineering yesterday bought a total of 2.1
million shares, or a 2.83 per cent stake, in married deals at 64 cents per
share. The group's co-founder and chief executive officer Yap Lem bought
228,000 shares, raising his deemed interest to 16.61 per cent from 16.31 per
cent. He also holds a direct stake of 2.14 per cent. Chairman and executive
director Lim Yong Wah acquired 800,000 shares, increasing his direct stake to
3.34 per cent from 2.27 per cent. Managing director Lim Yee Min bought 200,000
shares and raised his shareholding to 1.1 per cent from 0.74 per cent.
The other directors who took up shares included non-executive director and
substantial shareholder Low Kok Hua, who bought 228,000 shares and raised his
shareholding to 16.19 per cent, and independent directors Haider Sithawalla and
Chan Chin Wah, who acquired 500,000 and 150,000 shares respectively.
Inter-Roller yesterday closed half a cent higher at 70.5 cents.
